A small project building hunting apps for the Nordics. One app at a time, and none of them trying to become a platform.
What this is

Jaktapp is an umbrella for small, self-contained apps. The first is called Älglock and is about calling moose. More may follow, but only when there is a problem genuinely worth an app of its own.
How we think
An app should solve one thing well. It is easy to build maps, a hunting diary, dog tracking and a social feed into the same app. That is also how good tools turn into mediocre platforms. We would rather say no.
The app has to work where you are. Coverage cannot be taken for granted in the forest. So all the content sits inside the app, and nothing needs fetching once you are out there.
We do not need to know anything about you. There is no account, no analytics and nothing sent anywhere. That is not only a privacy matter — it is also why the app works without a connection.
The interface is made for reality. Dark, large touch targets, one-handed use. It is first light, it is cold, and you have gloves on.
The Nordics
The apps are available in Swedish, English, Finnish and Norwegian. Hunting differs across the Nordic countries, and so does the terminology. We would rather ask someone who knows than guess.
