Privacy policy
What this website and our apps collect, why, for how long — and what you can do about it.

The short version: the apps collect nothing at all, and the website collects only what you type into the sign-up form yourself.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Umbr AB, Sweden. Questions about this policy or about your data go to integritet@jaktapp.eu.
The apps
Our apps, Älglock included, run entirely locally on your phone.
- The app makes no calls to us or to anyone else.
- There is no analytics, no telemetry and no tracking.
- There is no account and no sign-in.
- The app does not request microphone access.
- Favourites and settings are stored on the phone only, and disappear if you uninstall the app.
Because nothing leaves the phone, there is no data held by us for you to request, correct or have deleted.
Note that the App Store and Google Play collect their own data about downloads and purchases. That happens under Apple’s and Google’s terms, not ours, and we receive only aggregate figures that cannot be traced to an individual.
The website
The website uses no cookies for analytics, marketing or recognition. There are no embedded third-party services: the fonts are served from our own server and the pages load nothing from other domains.
The web server keeps an operational log containing IP address, timestamp, requested address and user agent string. It is needed to detect faults and attacks. The log is kept for at most 30 days and is not used to follow individual visitors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service running and secure.
The release notification list
If you leave your email address in the form, we store:
- the address,
- the language you were using the site in,
- which app the sign-up concerned,
- the time of the sign-up and of your confirmation.
We use this for exactly one thing: an email when the app is available. There will be no newsletter and no advertising, and the address is not passed on to anyone else.
The legal basis is your consent. You give it by filling in the form and then following the link in the confirmation email. If you do not confirm, we send nothing.
For how long: until the app has been released and the notification has gone out, after which the address is deleted. We also delete unconfirmed sign-ups that have been sitting for 90 days. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in the email, and the address is removed immediately.
The data is held on a server within the EU and is not shared outside the EU/EEA.
Your rights
You have the right to request the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to the processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to integritet@jaktapp.eu and we will handle it.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), or to the supervisory authority in your own country.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects you and you are already on the notification list, we will write to you.
